So this weekend i spent almost a day in camp. First it was heading back to camp to get my handphone charger which i forgot to book out with. Also went back to fix the whiteboard which i was tasked to do.

Today, headed back to camp to be the advance of the advance party. Had to help set up the target board for the fire base for tomorrow's platoon live firing. Reached camp about 12 but only moved out @ 2. Vehicle cock up once again. Just a few more cock ups and I really would want to send a complain letter up to our S3 branch. It can't be happening all the time. Anyway, setting up the targets was really damn tiring. Finish around 4.30 and reached home around 5ish. Now i'm heading back to camp again. Yawns!

Next weekend i'm going to do some hardcore mahjong-ing. Anyone interested please apply via sms. :D

Was packing my drawers when I came across a note given to me by an ex teacher of mine. Couldn't remember who she was exactly, weather or not she was leaving us or was i graduating, but here was what her note wrote:

Reminds me of another reason why I want to go into teaching. And i jut keep getting reminded by the people around me that I have to make a decision for my future fast before I waste my days away....

Something i found on flicker today, the works of Mike aka Balakov. You should all check out his work, pretty awesome , i especially like the lego starwars album. One of his shots reminded me of something i tired a while back, but i used Darth Vader instead of a stormtrooper. A tap on my back for sure a great find. Haha!

Was your Good Friday any good?

So as I was exiting from the PIE toward CTE flyover, I saw a sign put up to inform drivers of upcoming changes, really did wanna take a picture and snap down what it said, but I think i would have cause a terrible pile up if I'd done so. Anyway here what it rough said if I didn't remember it wrongly - 'ERP relocating to make way for new flyover'.

The first thing that went through my mind was - Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut? Yea, like what the hell, they gantry was just set up like at most 4 years ago and only operational like 2 to 3 years tops. Now they are going to tear it down and build it some place else? What good use of tax payers money. And they say their the one with the future of singapore all planned out.

Didn't manage to watch DJ Robin Skouteris perform last night. Quite disappointed but well if its a 'rule' than rules are rules. Ended up chilling out at Powerhouse, first time i was there, but definitely not the last time. Comparing Rebel and Powerhouse, i think Powerhouse would be better with cheaper drinks/cover and music which is more to my liking.

Just 6 more months and i'll be out. 6 more months and i'll have to make a decision for my future all over again. Further studies or work first, both have its pros and cons. But i don't really know what i WANT now. Trying as much to use a gung-ho spirit to look at things but i won't want to end up doing what i don't enjoy and regret after it. The time to make the decision will come soon, and i'm gonna be the one to make it alone. Wish me luck.

Alright on here to update after a long long hiatus(self proclaimed). Lets start with Chinese New Year. Had a pretty long week, didn't get much sleep at all as most of you might know. Anyway nothing much just the usual annual routine no change in plans. Only thing was that this year, we were one hour late in moving off to the first house all thanks to Body Guards and Assassins. Well as many of you don't already know, I'm know taking the Company Marksman Course with SIW at Pasar Lebar Camp. Will be there for another 1 week 4 days. Basically, me and my men will be trained in using the PGM Mini Hecate 0.338 and Steyr SSG 69 sniper rifle. So far have only gone for 300m range, what i can say is that the rifles are damn bloody accurate. Next week will be doing 400m/500m and open field live firing. Did want to take a picture to show the bruise i got from the recoil but couldn't find a camera to take the picture, now its healed. Maybe next week when i fire more rounds. If only i can really be sniper trained. D:

How i spent my afternoon today was getting myself this:

Yes a set of mahjong tiles. What happened was last week when we went for nights out at Safra Jurong, me and wei wen say this poster for a mahjong challenge. I didn't know what we got into us that made us signed up for it. So we went down to play today, but wei wen being the cockster he sometimes is, went to anyhow play and didn't make it. For me, i'd said it was more of luck and also the rules of the game. So played from 1pm all the way till 7pm, eyes were abit sore just now. But the experience playing with older stranger, for me it's fun and get to pick up alil here and there. Overall, registration fee was $16 compared to buying a set of mahjong tiles outside at least $55, i'd consider this an EPIC WIN. Now all i need is a table and chips and i no longer have to go the distance to play mahjong.

Heading back to camp in 40 mike's. Honestly I'd rather do a weekend COS than to be Guard Com. Anyway went to check out my shoe again, apparently the Character and Vehicle Pack aren't released till next week. And here i am thinking that they have already been sold out. Hopefully, the cost of the shoe wont be so expensive or i might have to reconsider getting it. Now I'm actually thinking of getting the Stormtrooper Track Hoodie which is freaking $169. Can't wait for next next Monday to arrive.

Back to update something which i forgot to that day. So Friday evening after book out took a cab down to District 10 to me the usuals for Chin Leng's Birthday Celebration. So what happen was the cabby brought me to the wrong place initially, but I told him it's alright I'll find the place myself. Got down and started walking, awhile later the cabby horned and asked me on board, he told me he'll bring me to the place. Finally! A nice cabby, if only there were more cab drivers like him.

Today I turned in early last night as I promised myself. But it felt more like a nap than going to bed as you can see I'm awake now. Somehow, it kinda feels like it's going to be a disappointing weekend, probably the only thing which I'll do productive this to get my teeth cleaned.

So was in town for movie and dinner.
Daybreakers - Not to bad if you consider it as being a vampire movie with a different plot and not the usual vampire movies.
Skinny Pizzas - It was kinda disappointing for me. Didn't really know what to order, ended up ordering the 'Ratatouille Pizza'. Totally not what I'll ever eat, and after having it, I think I've consumed enough vegetable for this year.
Anyway finally got to check out the Adidas Starwars Collection. Sadly all the shoes from the Character and Vehicle Pack are sold out, only left the ones from the Direct Pack. Guess i have to wait for them to restock before checking them out again. Kinda looking at the Yoda, Skywalker and Stormtrooper. Might consider getting the X-Wing as it's the only mid-cut design which looks nice, can't really picture myself wearing a high-cut shoe. Plans for tomorrow is cancelled once again. ): I guess i'll just stay in to continue to pack my room if I can get myself off my chair. I needa exercise!

Have just started to use tumblr after the influence of Zhenru. Planning to use it more as a photo blog, any share random quotes. Took last minute half day off and currently slacking at home. Section Live Firing on Monday went pretty well, left the live firing area at about 0240 and reached back camped about 0315. Finally after all the sending arms and showering got into bed at around 0500. Lucky i didn't had to go with the ipets party, they only came back the next day morning about 1000. Anyway good news to all Chuck fans, the long awaited Season 3 is out, like finally.

Have decide that i'll be getting a tv for my room most probably a 32" or if i find any good deals i'll go for 42". Time for some rearranging. Oh and i think i fried my dad's desktop.

So passes another day of the X'mas weekend. One more duty for tomorrow and the Xtraordinary month will be all being me. Oh and here's something i said i'll blog about on facebook. Today as i was out going to chinatown, so was in CTE going out to merchant road exit. This bloody cab obviously missed the exit and wanted to cut in with so little space left. And of cause like i said i was filtering out, the car that would have hit him would be me. Thanks goodness i wasn't msging or looking for a song in my ipod or i wouldn't be here blogging. Managed to engage the brakes just enough for him to squeeze his cab into the lane. And by letting him do so, i couldn't turn out to Merchant Road and had to go one round back to Chinatown. Bullocks! And and and people, you know whats the worst, freaking worst part of this orderal? I DIDN'T GET TO HORN HIS ASS OFF!!!! The timing was right, the stage was set, but i just didn't react fast enough. DAMN IT!! There goes my chance of trying spoiling the horn. I swear, when I become a cabbie next time, i'll drive much much safer than i am driving now. xD -peace-

Anyway kinda just got home from sending Loong back to camp, before that just had supper just to meet up with him. Sucks that he gotta be stuck in camp but we'll celebrate once you're out alright. Wonderful weekend it has been, did not really get much sleep for the pass two nights thou. And i think i seriously need to work on my casting if i wanna go fishing with Ting Fong again, LOL. By the way, i caught Avater today and i watched it in 3D. All i have to say is that it was AWESOME! I give it full marks, and because it was 2hrs 40mins long, it was worth every single cent of my $14 to watch in 3D.

A nice song i have here to share. Heard it over the radio so many times but always never manage to get the title. But today i didn't let it slip away. Enjoy~

Christmas is just round the corner, don't really have the spirit of Christmas, maybe cause i know i'm going to be spending it in camp - Me, myself and my ipod. Oh well, guess just gotta endure another 9more months and no more moral deepening situations. Just cannot wait for 2009 to be over.

Will be having long weekend this week, block leave for the men and a chance for us to clear our remaining leave. However i can foresee this is going to be a boring weekend probably at home most of the time. Anyway pass two days commanders training went pretty well, quite dull thou as most the things are revision and ironing out SOPs.

Have just spent the last 5 hours in my own room. Apparently, the guy doing the staircase came to apply lacquer today. As i didn't have any confirm plans yet, i didn't wanna leave my room. Thus i spent the last 4-5hours waiting for the lacquer to dry completely. Now i'm having a headache from confined sound. :\

Anyway, moving on to more serious content. Still have not really recovered from my cough fully, but maybe it just the lack of water and sleep. 16 click last night with the battalion, lucky volunteered to be front scout, not as shag, LOL. By the time we slept last night was close to 3am, woke up about 630am today, rushed to be in post for my guy's Passing Out Parade. Luckily weather was on our side and things went well other than the music which RSM managed to InAD the bahenti, nice one.

~3 months down, 9 more months to go.

End of BMT phase for this mono, 6weeks AIT will start soon. Been great training my recruits, hoping for those I want to stay. HAHA! Good luck guys. Anyway, just wanna show everyone my events calendar for month.

Currently resting at home as the prolonged cough is not getting any better. But i think i shall return to camp early, settle some stuff. One more week to end of BMT, two more weeks to AIT, two more weeks to start chiong sua. :( i miss the UIP days. 10 months and counting.

Have been spending freaking alot this month. But also, being the over friendly me always helping people to get stuff. Just a quick note to those people who have yet to return me money. O$P$!!! Come on people, i'm not running a loan shark business and you know how is it like for me, never easy to open up and ask for money.

Anyway putting money and all the materialistic stuff aside, for those of you who have not already known, i got myself some extras. And planned them to be served on 25th and 27th Dec. Yup, will be spending Christmas in camp. Its going to be a first, but my parents won't be in town anyway so its alright. Oh just a short note: Will be heading to P. Tekong for my recruits BMT field camp next week. Will try to remain contactable and hope that my cough will recover by monday its been three weeks man. :( need a break soon and i want it before AIT starts. Hearing about the schedule don't think thant there going to be much of one.

Off tomorrow. Shall get some rest to get well from my cough and sore throat, but don't think i'll able be sleeping to sleep till late due to the renovations. Well at least its better than staying in camp thou its only games tomorrow. Oh yea, didn't mention this earlier but my house is undergoing some renovation works, its in a big mess now, contractor expect to be done in 3 weeks time. Glad i'm staying in and away from all the dust/dirt.

Anyway went to ion with ChiHui and WenXian before coming home. Had some retail therapy there, signed my card for like don't know how many times. LOL! But most of the things weren't for me, mostly birthday presents only got a polo with ChiHui's birthday discount. Funny things was went we went to Fred Perry, i made him choose a shirt. All the way he thought i was buying it for myself and when i gave it to him he was like - eh don't talk cock lah, don't play already lei. HAHAHA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHIHUI! (if you are even reading this that is. :p)

Sonny Liew's Astro Boy

Caught Astro Boy last night.. 0140 show, ended around 0330. Would have taken NR back if Dom didn't drive. Its been forever since i took a night rider home, too long. Wanted to go down to Timbre before the show but the coward was terrible. Saw Loong there thou, was kinda surprised but that's another story for no other time. Ended up @ brewerks. Shared a tower and some finger food with TF. One thing i was very curious was why did they put green chill on their pizza. Might be green capsicum i might be wrong. Not sure if we had too much to drink or the movie was boring some of them cause some of them were sort of dosing on and off. LOL..

Finally i'm out of camp after staying in camp for two weeks minus all the nights out and stuff. BTP live range was not bad my company managed to get 80% marksman and 100% pass. One good thing was the bobo which i was asked to help managed to pass and some even got marksman. Glad to see my effort paid off. Anyway today took IPPT again, came back with another disappointing results. Lets just say that i'm still chasing after the running man.

And damn it people, you didn't keep my chatbox alive. Now i gotta go create it again. But i'll just leave it till i have more strength/time to do. Totally shag out after today's training program. Shall be turning in soon, still got company cohesion tomorrow. Gotta get away.

Its another long weekend, fri the peeps went to celebrate ah woo's birthday, couldn't make it but met up with zr tf and hl so some chillaxing at simpang. Headed back around 4plus, couldn't sleep don't know whats with these short spells of insomnia.yesterday, went down to central to celebrate wendy's birthday. Had pasta de waraku for dinner, waiting like super long for the tables. After dinner went to Helipad, had some drinks and cake cutting. Hang out till 1 plus wanted to hit the dance floors but zr wanted to head home early so didn't go in the end. Spend a good 15-20 mins at the taxi stand before we decided to head home. at least me and gl made a donation. HAHA..

anyway, went to see the MO on thurs. Had some chest pains since tues after running my lungs out for ippt(which i didn't get gold, 1min to cut off.. pfft..). anyway, went in, they ask me to go for ecg so heres the thing it was a thunder storm, like CAT1 x10. So as i lay on the treatment table and wires all hooked up to my body, this was what came to my mind. What if a strong bolt of lighting strikes onto the building the surge is to large to be earthed. It feedbacks to the ecg machine and me body gets fired on the spot. Funny how one would feel when the though of death is being presented to them. But nether-less i'm still alive and kicking with some over exerted muscles.

Finally booked out after so long. Luckily there is a public holiday this weekend or else i'd only be able to book out next weekend. Been rather busy since my new recruits came in. CDS on the very first day and COS just 2 days back. Coming Monday and Tuesday CDS again. But its no longer adjustment week for them so here comes the pain. HAHAs.

Anyway, just wanna say to those who attended my dinner few weeks back(if you're reading). Thanks for coming, and also thanks for all the gifts you guys brought along. Just to pictures from the night, if you ain't already seen them.

For those reading and aren't comic fans, i'll just briefly say what i know about it. After destroying Las Vegas, The Illuminati banished the Hulk from Earth. He landed on a planet - Sakaar. Blah Blah Blah.. He came back to Earth to seek revenge (World War Hulk Storyline - This is awesome too, 0% fillers 100% action). Second to None

Its been awhile since i did any major updates. So decided to do this 1 x long post yesterday while doing duty. Had everything all planned out nicely on my imaginary piece of paper. Anyway i'll start with Army. For some of you who don't already know i've been posted to 2 SIR @ Amoy Quee Camp. So far there isn't much for the new specs todo as the next mono is only coming in on 11 Sep later this year. So now just enjoying the good times while they last.

Also another thing that i've been so 'specially' chosen for is to perform for NDP 09. Have been going down every Saturday for practise for the pass 2 weeks already. This week onwards the combine rehersals will start. This week can say its the most packed since my posting. Had guard duty on Thurs. Even thou it was a 2/4hrs shift. The resting bunk was too stuffy and humid to get decent rest. By the time u manage to sleep its almost time to get up for your next shift. And today after duty, they told us we were going for rehersal @ Marina later on in the day. Again, practised till 9ish before we headed home. And tomorrow will be another day of rehersal. -yawns-

After the mini celebration at home and clear up. Set out to run some personal errands and window shopping. Weather didn't look so good so bayb decided to have dinner celebrations a little earlier. So, of to Chimes to go.

Inside Chimes, the evening sky after the drizzle was fab-tastic.

Dining at Hogs Breath Cafe. Very cowboy-ish kinda place, and the food wasn't bad at all.

Starters Combo, their potato skin and wings was good. The calamari was fresh too.

Baby Pork Ribs. Not the biggest of portion but just enough for me to be full. The gravy was sinful.

Double Lamb Shank. The mutton smell was aromatic. 好吃好看好嗅

Anyways working at Suntec, doing the telephone cable set up for the upcoming Comex Show(28 Aug - 31 Aug). Not as busy as the last PC Show, maybe cause the booth are not all set up yet, or its just that Jimmy has done most of the cables are. HAHA.

Currently considering to get a DSLR, deciding between Canon's 1000D, 40D and 450D. Planning to head down to the show room to test out before i make the final decision. Which ever period i buy it, it's sure going to make a big hole in my pocket.

Beijing Olympics 2008 - Weightlifting

His name is Janos Baranyai, and its his first Olympic. Tragically, it did not turn out as he and all his supporters hope for. I wish him a speedy recovery.

So just an update on something which i saw while walking in Carefour yesterday.

Yes, for those of you who ain't got a clue to what that it. Its a a cake with mold and sick shit all over it. Non of the stuff that was around bothered to have it removed and best thing was that it was left amongst the other food products. I would pay $3.85 for such crap.
